Brent and Carol's flight got cancelled (something about the company going bankrupt) so please pray for them! They're supposed to be driving down to Bari, Italy and then coming on the boat, so it will be a very long trip for them.
I, however, have been thinking about going to Italy with Valbona and it appears the Benny Hinn thing is not going to work, but we're just going to go for fun. So I'm polling my readers: if you were me and could spend almost a week in Italy for $500, even though you don't have much in the bank, would you do it? That's basically what I'm looking at, and I'm thinking that I'll just use my savings to go, but that's a significant chunk of it, so I'm sure. What do you all think?

Absolutely you should go! Not only will it make you a better teacher, it will be fun! We promise to feed you when you are home!

Hi Kelly, Your cousin has been to Italy twice, I will ask him about any "must see's". The Vatican would be high on my list and everything in Rome. I am thinking that Charlie like Florence even better. Whatever you do have fun. Love, Aunt Sue
Should you go at some point? Definitely. Should it be now, at this particular point in time? That's up to you. Do you think you'll have the opportunity to go again any time soon? I mean, there's a certain element of carpe diem--you wouldn't want to not go if you doubt the opportunity will ever arise again, and you should definitely go while you're over in Albania (if you were to, say, leave from the U.S., tickets alone would be over $1000).
Man. Traveling? I'm jealous. I wish I had the cash on-hand to come visit you or something. I miss my Kelly-chan. :)
Hi Kelly,
Thought I'd add my two cents...if that. I think the chance to go to Italy sounds like a great opportunity. I can understand that fear of wiping out your check book, but I am sure God will find a way to refill it. He always does.
After traveling in Europe, I told my family that if we ever went back I'd want to still see Sweden (this was before I went) and Italy! And since you're so close, now seems like a good time to go. And you'll have Valbona with you, so you won't be alone.
Obviously, the choice it up to you, but I agree with everyone on here so far. Italy= good choice. You had better take some pictures to show us if you should choose to go. Have fun! When would this take place? Let us know what you decide (or maybe by now you already have!).
I'm starting back up on subbing this week. I'm working as an aid I think. The title is Extra Classroom Support. So I think it will be a nice transition back into subbing. And I'm done by 2:45 each day. Friday Linnea and Riana come for a week-long visit. I'm still deciding what to do about subbing. I figure that I'm not gonna get this time back with her, so I might as well take the chance while I have it (ie: not sub while she's here). That's the nice thing about subbing...very flexible.
Hope you had a wonderful Sunday. We miss you and love you!
Love, Christine
Yes, you should go, unless you really think God is telling you otherwise. Take advantage of opportunities like this when you have them. This sounds like a reasonable cost, especially compared to taking the same trip if you were traveling from the U.S. It sounds like you have the support of those you are working with, as well. Take care.
Love,
Aunt Judy
